During an interview with Esquire, Jack N. Green shared that they had the officials of Canada bend the rules a bit for Clint Eastwood and his oscar winning movie, Unforgiven. He went on to add that when he told an official that they can never film a movie in Canada because Eastwood never moves without his family, “because he can’t bring his family”, they worked up a one-time deal with them permitting them to film a movie in Canada. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be permitted this caliber and the crew did not let anyone down as the movie went on to win an Academy Award.
