Forum Communications Co.’s Rob Port, in a recent online column, wondered why President Trump supported a QAnon participant for ND Treasurer. I'm wondering why Sen. Cramer does? Is the senator a believer in this movement? How about Sen. Hoeven?
For those who may not know. QAnon is an extreme right response to a "deep state" conspiracy in which a group of anti-Trump pedophiles, consisting of Democrats and Hollywood people, led by Hilary Clinton and funded by George Soros, are allegedly torturing, murdering, and possibly performing cannibalism on kids they manage to get their hands on.
But the pedophile stuff is just their entertainment. Their true purpose is to destroy Trump. Now Q, whoever he is, and his minions, of course, have figured all this out, and are the true, selfless patriots fighting to save the country.
To be fair to our senators, I don't really believe they are part of this lunatic fringe outfit. They seem to have their feet on the ground when it comes to other important things. In fact their response to President Trump's efforts to eliminate the USPS have been very good for North Dakota. They seem to realize the importance of post offices in our state. I was disappointed at the start of Trump's term when our whole Washington delegation cuddled up way too close to him. And although Sen. Cramer's candidate for treasurer is troubling, we have to hope the senator has found himself. It would be nice to know if they are still Trump sycophants.
I would remind our guys that they owe no loyalty to Donald Trump. Their loyalties belong to the U.S. Constitution, the citizens of North Dakota, and the well being of the rest of the country. That's it.
I hope they continue to display their new-found independent streak.
