Patriots links: Kraft values good people, loyalty - Pats Pulpit

kajasada.blogspot.com

Oh the anxiety! The Patriots finally win a game after six long weeks and five straight losses, and the media is suddenly nervous that, gulp, Bill Belichick may not be kicked out at the end of the season after all. They’ve been spouting about his ‘inevitable’ demise and speculating on his replacement non-stop as if it’s a done deal.

Robert Kraft made some tame, yet interesting comments at the Army Navy game on Saturday that has locals hand-wringing over his meaning: “It’s all about people, collecting good people, people of good character, people that are loyal. I’m very happy that most of our key people have been with us a long time. You know we have a head coach who’s been with us 24 years, I think that’s the longest serving head coach. But that’s the model we have in all our companies.”

Does that mean Belichick is staying? But Mr. Kraft also said that he values winning. Does that mean Belichick has to go? Stay tuned for the word-parsing and angst to continue, by everyone except the only ones who really know what the future holds.
