American Airlines business travelers now have the opportunity to earn airline elite status sooner through the AAdvantage Business™ loyalty program. Travelers will collect Loyalty Points in addition to the regular earning rate for being an AAdvantage member. Businesses will earn AAdvantage miles that can be redeemed for employee travel.
What Is AAdvantage Business?
The AAdvantage Business™ program is a loyalty program open to United States and Canadian businesses with at least five employees. It’s free to join and works in conjunction with the personal AAdvantage program so individuals can earn miles and Loyalty Points on qualifying travel purchases based on their AAdvantage status level.
Additionally, businesses of any size that apply for the CitiBusiness® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® Mastercard® on or after October 16, 2023, receive AAdvantage Business as a complimentary perk. Existing cardmembers will be enrolled in AAdvantage business at a later date.
“American has built something no one else offers,” says Scott Laurence, American Airlines Senior Vice President of Partnerships. “We want to reward both the companies doing business with us and the traveler who’s actually flying in the airplane seat. It’s a win-win. We’ve designed a simple program that goes above and beyond in delivering rewards and tools that benefit everyone.”
This loyalty program allows businesses to earn 1 AAdvantage mile per $1 spent on qualifying business travel purchases. In turn, the company can redeem the miles on future trips.
Employees will receive an additional 1 Loyalty Point per $1 spent in addition to the usual benefit of 5 AAdvantage miles and 1 Loyalty Point per $1 through their personal AAdvantage membership.
Eligible American Airlines business credit card members can earn additional miles and Loyalty Points. New CitiBusiness® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® Mastercard® cardmembers have the opportunity to earn 5 miles and 3 Loyalty Points per $1 spent, and businesses will earn a total of 3 miles per $1.
