Dec. 4—The group Re-Creation will be at Kissinger's Church, 715 Berkshire Blvd., Wyomissing, next Saturday at 6:30 p.m. to present its program, "Rockin' Little Christmas." The program consists of traditional hymns, sing-a-longs, classic carols and new songs. These talented, young performers captivate audiences of all ages. The program transforms the space into a wondrous showplace of unforgettable entertainment, with colorful, flashing costumes, state-of-the-art sound reinforcement and professional choreography. Admission is by donation.

Also, from 4 to 6 p.m. there will be a spaghetti dinner. Eat in or take out. Cost: adults, $9; 5-9 years, $5; under 5 years, free. Includes spaghetti with homemade sauce and meatballs, salad, roll, cake and beverage.

----Schwarzwald United Church of Christ, 75 Church Lane Road, Exeter Township, will be holding an in-person and Zoom service on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. It will also be available on YouTube. Bonnie Levan will be guest pianist. For more information, visit www.schwarzwalducc-pa.org.

—Zion United Church of Christ and St. Paul's United Church of Christ will worship together in-person Sunday at 10:15 a.m. at 301 W. Penn Ave., Robesonia, and by YouTube, Facebook and telephone. The second candle for Advent will be lit. Advent music will be provided by the Rev. Robert Masenheimer, director of music. Sunday school for all ages is at 9 a.m. Scarves, hats, gloves and mittens are being collected for Opportunity House and the St. Paul's Clothing Closet. —Reformation Lutheran Church, 3670 Perkiomen Ave., Exeter Township, will celebrate the second Sunday in Advent during in-person worship at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. Masks are required. The Reformation Choir, under the direction of Dr. Heidi Rochlin, director of music, will lead worship at the later service. The 10:30 service will be livestreamed on Reformation's Facebook page and may be viewed later at www.Reformationlutheran.org. under worship videos. Reformation's Advent Devotional, written by members of Reformation, is available in the narthex on Sunday mornings. A Jazz Concert will be held Thursday night at 7 p.m.in the sanctuary (free-will offering) and will feature Al Rochlin, trumpet; Pete Souders, saxophone; Chip Breaux, bass; and Paul Columbia, guitar. The concert will also be livestreamed on the Music Performance Trust Fund FB page.

—Christ Lutheran Church, 222 Niantic Road, Barto, will worship on the second Sunday of Advent at 9 a.m., with Holy Communion. Following the service, the fall congregational meeting will be held. Prior to the worship service, Coffee & Conversation will be held at 8:30 in the Welcome Center, and after worship there will be Coffee & Conversation as well. Intergenerational Sunday school will be held in the parlor after worship. Masks are recommended.

—The West Wyomissing Chapel, 2055 Reading Blvd., West Lawn, will have a Kick-off to Christmas on Sunday. At the 9 a.m. service, the Chapel Choir will present the Christmas Cantata "Christmas Forever, Amen" directed by Ruthann Deiterich. —Schwarzwald Lutheran Church, 250 Church Lane Road, Exeter Township, will hold an in-person service at 10:30 a.m. Those not vaccinated must wear masks. The recorded service will be available Monday on Facebook.

—Reading Moravian Church, 1116 Perry St., Reading, will be celebrating the second Sunday in Advent with the lighting of the second Advent wreath candle at 10 a.m. The Brass Menagerie will provide a holiday musical message. Masks are required and social distancing is recommended.

—Christ Episcopal Church, 435 Court St., Reading, will hold a candlelight Blue Christmas service tonight at 5:30 with music to lift those feeling down this season. On Sunday, there will be three in-person worship services, all including Holy Eucharist: at 8, there will be a said service (no music); at 9, a service for families with young children; and at 10:15, a service with music. Everyone attending these services is asked to wear a mask. Parking is available at the Abraham Lincoln parking garage and the M & T Bank lot, both off of Washington street. Parking next to the church on Court Street is available for those who are disabled or need assistance. On Thursday morning at 11, a morning prayer group based on the Book of Common Prayer will meet at the Red Bridge recreational area in Bern Township, weather permitting.

—Trinity United Church of Christ, 2449 Cumberland Ave., Mount Penn, will be celebrating the second Sunday of Advent in person at 10:15 a.m., with Holy Communion. Adult church school will be held at 9 a.m. Masks are recommended. The service will also be recorded and posted on the church's Facebook page after the service.

—St. John's Lutheran Church, 45 N. Reading Ave., Boyertown, will have in-person worship Sunday at 9:30 a.m. The service also will be livestreamed on YouTube. Children's Sunday school is at 9:30. Register at stjohnsboyertown.org. There will be a free drive-through take-out meal every Saturday from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. The church also will have Advent worship Wednesday at 7 p.m.

—Bern Reformed UCC, 3196 Bernville Road, Bern Township, offers live worship Sunday at 9:30 a.m., or participate from your vehicle by means of an FM 87.9 transmission.

—St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 5 W. Arch St., Fleetwood, will have two worship services in the sanctuary on Sunday, at 9 and 10:30 a.m., including Holy Communion. Bring your elements. The 9 a.m. service also will be available on Facebook and YouTube; links can be found at www.stpaulsfleetwood.org. Special music will be "The Crossing" at 9 and "Come, Light of Hope" at 10:30 by the Chancel Choir. Stacy Laucks will be the hymn soloist. Worship leaders are Bob Wolf at 9 and Jim Goldman at 10:30.

—Maidencreek Church, 261 Main St., Maidencreek Township, will hold a hybrid worship service celebrating the second Sunday of Advent at 9 a.m., with Holy Communion. Music includes a piano solo by Carter Flicker, violin solo by Sophia Ayrton, trumpet solo by Jamie Ayrton, piano duet by Miles and Megan Esterly, piano and organ music by Kimberly Ayrton; as well as a congregational hymn. In-person worship is livestreamed on Facebook and on You Tube. Links can be found at maidencreekchurch.org. If the holidays are difficult for you this year, for whatever reason, join an in-person Blue Christmas service at 4 p.m. on Sunday (this service will not be livestreamed until it has been modified).
