A trip to Rome to see Michelangelo’s magnificent frescos in the Sistine Chapel is unlikely this winter, but a trip to the Mall of America to see “museum-quality, near life-size reproductions” of the works is possible starting Friday.

The Bloomington mall announced Monday that “Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition,” an immersive presentation 34 reproductions of works in the Sistine Chapel, will be set up on Level 2 of the North Atrium through Jan. 31. It includes reproductions of “The Creation of Adam” and “The Last Judgment.”

Tickets are $19 for the general public; $14 for seniors, military and students; free for children 6 and younger and are on sale now at chapelsistine.com. COVID safety protocols will be in place.
