Ferrari has unveiled the 10th one-off model crafted over a front-engined V12 platform since the 2009 P540 Superfast Aperta: the Omologata.
The unique creation is based on the 812 Superfast, but the windscreen and headlights are the only bodywork elements that haven’t been changed. Finished in Rosso Magma and featuring a custom racing livery, the Ferrari Omologata adopts a new body kit.
It consists of a flattened oval grille, rounded section over the front wheel arches, more muscular haunches, three horizontal transversal cuts instead of a rear screen, and deeply set single taillights. Other distinctive exterior elements include the prominent rear spoiler and huge rear diffuser.

Inside, the Ferrari Omologata looks equally unique and evokes the brand’s rich racing heritage through many trim details. The electric blue seats, finished in a combination of leather and Jeans Aunde fabric, feature 4-point racing harnesses stand out against a full black interior.
The absence of rear quarter lights and screen create a purposeful atmosphere in the cabin, as do the metal parts on the dashboard and steering wheel. They are finished with the crackled paint effect associated with the great GT racers of the 1950s and 1960s as well as with Ferrari’s engine cam covers. Another nod to the past is the hammered paint effect reminiscent of the 250 LM and 250 GTO on the inner door handles and Ferrari F1 bridge.
The Omologata was commissioned by an unnamed European client and the brief was to create “a futuristic design with distinctive elements reinterpreted in a fresh manner to provide potential for a timeless shape that is certain to leave a lasting impression.” The name makes it clear that the Omologata also had to be equally at ease on the road as on the track.
The project took a little over two years to complete and features a variety of inspirations, from racing heritage to sci-fi and references to modern architecture. Ferrari went as far as to develop a new shade of red just for the livery to match the striking finish featuring triple-layer Rosso Magma over darkened carbon fiber.
Ferrari did not say if the Omologata features powertrain changes over the 812 Superfast. To be fair, it doesn’t need to as the standard car is the fastest and most powerful front-engined Ferrari ever made. It boasts a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 that makes 800 PS (789 HP) at 8,500 rpm and 718 Nm (530 lb-ft) of torque at 7,000 rpm.
A seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission drives the rear wheels, enabling a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint in 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 340 km/h (211 mph).
