Skyrim 10th Anniversary Edition: All Creation Club Mods Confirmed - Screen Rant

kajasada.blogspot.com

It's been 10 years since the release of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and with TES VI still years away, Bethesda has decided to release yet another version of Skyrim with even more features. The open world RPG has had incredible staying power in an ever-evolving games industry since 2011, being released on nearly every platform possible. For the game's 10th anniversary, Skyrim Anniversary Edition will add a wide variety of content from Bethesda's Creation Club program.

The Creation Club launched in 2017, offering a less-than-official means for Bethesda to add fan-created content to both Skyrim and Fallout 4. In a sense, Creation Club content is a step above the average mod, but doesn't quite attain DLC status. Items in the Creation Club store have been curated by Bethesda, and are all compatible with each other, meaning installing one won't cause another to become unusable. Creation Club mods exist in a sort of limbo on what's officially canon in Skyrim lore, but their inclusion in the Anniversary Edition - an official Bethesda release - gives them quite a bit more credibility.

The celebration of Skyrim's 10th anniversary doesn't just involve a new version of the game - Special Edition owners will be gifted a selection of the incoming Creation Club content as well. When compared to the Anniversary Edition it's not much, but free content this far into a game's life is more than welcome. Skyrim Anniversary Edition launches on November 11, and the free Creation Club content for the Special Edition owners will be made available that same day.

Skyrim Anniversary Content Coming To Special Edition

Bethesda is making four select Creations available to owners of Skyrim Special Edition. The first is perhaps the most enticing - an additional storyline called Saints & Seducers. It consists of two main quest, and an unspecified number of side quests. Players can expect to find new items as well in the Saints & Seducers Creation, including weapons and sets of armor. It also offers new enemies to fight in its quests. According to BethesdaSaints & Seducers is one of the largest pieces of content available on the Creation Club store.

Alongside Saints & Seducers is an influx of additional new items under the Rare Curios Creation. The Rare Curios are designed to bolster the Khajit Caravans that wander Skyrim and sell their wares. There doesn't appear to be any quest content available through Rare Curios, nor does the Creation appear to expand on Skyrim's Khajiit lore, but players will now be able to purchase ingredients for special potions, arrows, and poisons from the Caravans.

The third free Creation coming to Skyrim Special Edition on November 11 is Survival Mode. Fallout 4 players may be familiar with Bethesda's brand of survival, since a special Survival difficulty option was added post-launch, taking advantage of the post-nuclear setting. Skyrim's operates much the same way, requiring players to monitor their hunger and exhaustion. Weather will become a factor in Survival Mode, requiring players to wear warm clothes or seek appropriate shelter. Difficulty is also increased in Skyrim's Survival Mode by taking away automatic health regeneration and disabling fast travel via the world map.

The final Creation being offered for free in Skyrim Special Edition is the much-advertised fishing mechanics. Players will be able to catch over 20 different aquatic species, and the new method of food retrieval may help those dabbling in Survival Mode, since jumping into cold waters isn't ideal with warmth as a factor. Fish don't have to be eaten, and can instead be displayed in the player's home, either on the wall as a trophy or in an aquarium.

In addition to the four being offered to Special Edition owners, Skyrim Anniversary Edition will come with all Creation Club content currently available. In other words, every single Creation previously released for Skyrim will be included in the Anniversary Edition. The new version also includes the previously released expansions included in the Special EditionDawnguardHearthfire, and Dragonborn. Anniversary Edition owners will be able to enjoy additional Survival Mode companion mods like Camping and the Adventurer's Backpack alongside Skyrim's new fishing mechanics.

To help celebrate the special occasion, Bethesda is also releasing a batch of new Creations alongside the Anniversary Edition - quests that will be of interest to those who have played Morrowind and Oblivion. The first is the Ghosts of the Tribunal quest line, on which details are scarce. Bethesda only mentions that it will bring more than a dozen weapons and armor items from Morrowind to Skyrim. The name implies that this Creation Club quest line will be related to Tribunal, the first of two expansions for Morrowind.

Another Skyrim Creation Club quest, called The Cause, brings back the Order of the Mythic Dawn, a mysterious cult that worships the Daedric Prince Mehrunes Dagon, and was responsible for the assassination of Emperor Uriel Septim VII. The Mythic Dawn was an organization opposed to The Elder Scrolls' Blades and central to the main plot in Oblivion, and now, 200 years later, they've come to Skyrim to make an attempt at opening another Oblivion gate. Bethesda promises new locations, enemies, weapons, and a summonable Daedric horse as part of The Cause.

For those only interested in the free offerings coming to the Special Edition, they will likely be added in a typical update on November 11. If more of the Anniversary Edition content piques the interest, an Anniversary Upgrade will be available to those who already own the Special Edition, which will likely be the cheapest way to secure all the Creation Club add-ons. The 500+ Creation Club elements can, of course, be purchased separately, and Bethesda was sure to note that Ghost of the Tribunal and The Cause will be available for individual sale on the Creation Club store. For those who haven't played Skyrim in a while (and haven't gotten around to playing any of the DLC), simply purchasing the Anniversary Edition will likely be the easiest and most convenient way of jumping back in.

Bethesda is attempting to make it easier than ever to return to the game, and will attempt to implement all the new Creation Club quests organically. As it stands right now (prior to the release of the Anniversary Edition), starting a new character with Creation Club content installed results in a deluge of new quests becoming available. With the release of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition, players will have the new quest lines appear incrementally as they explore, with instructions on the respective Creation Club store pages on how to access specific content.
