James Cameron is known for his Blockbuster films such as Titanic, Avatar, Terminator, Aliens and so many classics. James Cameron gave an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in 2011, where James Cameron was all praising Christopher Nolan’s Inception starring Leonardo Di Caprio, he praised the movie’s time-bending and dream-traversing theme of the film. During the interview, he also questioned the integrity of the Academy Awards as Christopher Nolan wasn’t nominated for the Best Director category of the awards. Here’s what the veteran filmmaker said in the interview:

“I loved ‘Inception,’ and I wish that it had gotten more. I wish Chris Nolan had gotten nominated for directing that film because I think that it’s the most astounding piece of film creation and direction of the year, hands down… but now it’s not even in the running. So I diverge from the Academy’s taste in a lot of ways.”

James Cameron’s frustration could be felt by fans of Inception, the movie broke several records and became one of the highest-earning films globally. Despite having serious nominations for the Best Director category in the Academy Awards; it was unfair to not even nominate Christopher Nolan for the category.
