NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING CREATION OF THE BLACKLINE 2021 REINVESTMENT ZONE
Notice is given that BLACKLINE COLD STORAGE (“BLACKLINE”) has applied to the Commissioners Court of CHAMBERS COUNTY, TEXAS (“the Court”) for the creation of a commercial – industrial reinvestment zone within Chambers County, Texas. BLACKLINE has requested that a 36.04-acre tract of land owned by it (“the property”) be designated a reinvestment zone by the Court, thereby permitting BLACKLINE to seek tax abatement from Chambers County, Texas, on improvements proposed to be constructed on the property. The property is described in the attached exhibit. The BLACKLINE Application for Tax Abatement and Request for Designation of the BLACKLINE COLD STORAGE 2021 REINVESTMENT ZONE were approved by the Court on March 23, 2021 and April 13, 2021 respectively.
The required hearing on the designation/creation of the reinvestment zone will be conducted by the Court on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the courtroom of the Chambers County Court located in the Chambers County Courthouse, 404 Washington Avenue, Anahuac, Texas 77514. Due to the COVID-19 Disaster and the CDC’s recommendations regarding social distancing measures, the public may not be allowed to be physically present at this meeting, as there is a limited amount of space when maintaining the minimum required 6-feet separation from others. Members of the public may participate in any scheduled Public Hearing via telephone and will be required to complete the Public Participation Form located here to do so: https://www.co.chambers.tx.us/page/comm_crt_agendas. The form must be submitted electronically prior to the hearing. A member of Commissioners Court will contact those who submit the form via telephone when it is their turn to address the court.
