The Fort Morgan Library & Museum’s latest Patron Art Challenge involves re-creating a famous image from another medium – like movies, books or art – in the form of an original photograph, according to a city news release.
These creative re-creations will be displayed in a Patron Art Showcase in the library.
Each original must either be composited next to the media that inspired it or include the name of the inspirational medium with the entry.
Participants can pick up a label at the library circulation desk and each entry must include a photo of the participant holding that label as well as the photo that is entered.
Only photos will be accepted as entries, and they must be no larger than 8-1/2 inches by 11 inches. Only one entry per person, and all ages are welcome. Entries are open now and are due by Nov. 28. Each person submitting an entry will be placed in a drawing for a $25 gift card.
Photos can be brought to the library circulation desk or e-mailed to kathleen.byrne@cityoffortmorgan.com. For more information, call the library at 970-542-4000.
